Asia-facing online casino seals West Brom shirt sponsorship deal
Operator K8 Group makes push into UK online gambling market as part of a two-year deal with the football club
Asia-facing online casino operator K8 Group is to embark on a major push into the UK online gambling market after a shirt sponsorship deal with West Bromwich Albion.
The two-year commercial deal with the Premier League football club starts from the 2016-17 season and coincides with the launch of the operator’s new European brand UK-K8.com which debuted in the UK in November.
As part of the agreement, the GB-licensed UK-K8.com, which lists Microgaming as a supplier, will look to obtain greater brand exposure via the Premier League both in the UK and across the Far East via China’s state broadcaster CCTV.
“K8 Group has had a long standing interest in working with a Premier League club and finally we are here with one of the most respected clubs in the Premier League,” Vincent Huang, COO of K8 Group, said.
K8 Group, which replaces fellow Asia-facing gambling brand TLCBET as shirt sponsor, also plans to launch a new marketing campaign in partnership with West Brom as the operator undertakes a revamp of its UK-facing site.
