Betfred releases voice activated Euro 2016 app
Operator says product will provide a "point of difference" during this summer's tournament
Betfred is launching a new voice activated app tailored specifically for this summer’s European Championship in a move the firm says will set it apart from its rivals.
The Betfred Voice Bet APP, which has been developed by Betfred’s in-house innovation team, will be ready to download on both iOS and Android devices from 4 June.
The launch of the app will also be backed by a new television campaign starring former England footballer Stuart Pearce.
Betfred chief executive John Haddock said the Voice Bet APP would provide a point of difference, particularly for in-play punters.
“The Voice Bet APP has been specifically designed for the Euros and although all pre-match and tournament bets are available it is absolutely ideal for in-play,” Haddock said.
“It’s been developed by our in-house innovation team and they have worked to understand potential customers with the Voice Bet APP even recognising betting jargon.”
News of Betfred’s voice activated app comes after Unibet launched its own version of the technology earlier this year.
Last week Betfred revealed it was to overhaul its online product after signing a 10-year platform deal with GVC. The migration is not expected to be completed until next year.
