Oddschecker signs Robbie Fowler for Euro 2016 push
Former Liverpool and England footballer joins the odds comparison site as a brand ambassador
Oddschecker has signed former Liverpool FC footballer Robbie Fowler as a brand ambassador for the duration of this summer’s European Championships, eGaming Review has learned.
The deal, which Oddschecker plans to officially announce later today, will see the former England international provide regular betting-focused articles on Euro 2016 throughout the month-long tournament.
Fowler will also be promoting the price comparison site via his social media presence, starting with a live Q&A session on Twitter next Tuesday (7 June).
“We’re delighted to be teaming up with Robbie Fowler during the European Championships,” an Oddschecker spokesperson told EGR.
“As a Liverpool legend and former England player, he adds a brand presence in himself and can provide our audience with engaging content.”
Fowler made more than 250 appearances for Liverpool during two stints at the club, scoring 128 goals in total, and is the sixth-highest goal scorer in Premier League history.
He also played for a number of other clubs including Leeds United and Manchester City, as well as winning 26 caps for the England international team.
“I was part of the squad that went so close to winning this tournament in 1996 and, 20 years on, I genuinely believe this is our best chance since then to make a meaningful challenge,” Fowler said.
“I’ll be providing regular insight into England’s progress as well as betting angles and value wagers from all the other matches.”
