Betway adds new head of product in latest tech change
Super Group-owned brand promotes Hannah Clarke to lead product output after more than five years with firm
Betway has promoted long-term manager Hannah Clarke to become the operator’s new head of product. Clarke shifts into her latest senior role after an 11-month stint as lead product manager at the online operator from October 2021 until August 2022. She originally joined Betway in January 2017 as a product owner before becoming a compliance product manager in April 2019. Clarke stepped into the gambling industry after spells in product-forward roles for Crunch Accounting and financial services firm OneFamily. She will continue to be based in London in her new role. Clarke’s move to head of product at Betway in the most recent change in the firm’s technology division, with one major arrival and departure having already taken place this year. In June, head of development Michael Gillett left the bookmaker after eight years to join Microsoft. In May, Betway appointed former William Hill and Entain exec Mohit Chaddah as its new technology director. Elsewhere, Betway’s parent company, Super Group, recently reported a 7.3% rise in revenue year-on-year for Q1 2022 to £284.55m. The New York-listed company’s Q2 results are due on 11 August.
