Dafabet seals Burnley FC shirt sponsorship deal
Bookmaker signs two-year agreement with newly-promoted Premier League side
Asia-focused operator Dafabet has increased its brand presence in the Premier League after securing a two-year shirt sponsorship deal with recently-promoted Burnley FC.
The deal commences from the start of the 2016-17 season and will see the operator’s logo appear on both the home and away adult shirt.
Dafabet has also agreed to offer sponsorship space on all junior shirts to the club’s community department, adhering to strict betting rules.
The Philippines-based firm already sponsors rivals Sunderland and is the official international betting partner for Everton.
It also has a presence north of the border after striking a four-year deal with Celtic FC to become its official shirt sponsor from the start of next season.
“We’ve been busy in increasing our presence in football and we have no doubt that partnering up with Burnley is yet another step forward, we’ll look forward to supporting the club anyway we can,” Dimitris Karatzas, managing director of online betting and gaming at Dafabet, said.
John Cruces, head of sports marketing and sponsorship at Dafabet, added the company is “very happy” to sign with the club and “looking forward to building a mutually beneficial partnership”.
“They were deserving winners of the Championship last season and we’ll now be hoping for a successful return to the Premier League,” said Cruces.
