Oddschecker targets international expansion in major product overhaul
Sports betting affiliate drops odds grid with the launch of new responsive sites in Italy, Germany and Spain
Oddschecker has undergone a substantial product overhaul in core international markets as the price comparison site looks to build the brand outside the UK.
The London-based affiliate unveiled new fully-responsive websites in Italy, Spain and Germany in time for Euro 2016, with plans to scale-up its international business for the new domestic football seasons.
The new multi-channel products no longer feature the firm’s traditional pricing grid after research showed customers in international markets had often found the feature too complicated.
Users are instead only presented with the best odds for all markets, using a rotational system when two or more bookmakers are best-price.
Unibet revamps Evolution-powered live casino
Unibet has revamped its live casino in partnership with Evolution Gaming, increasing the number of tables on offer to customers and rebranding its look.
The firm said it had experienced “tremendous growth” in live casino over the last few years, resulting in full capacity of its two Evolution studios in Riga and Malta.
And the Stockholm-listed operator took the decision to increase its live dealer offering from 13 to 20 tables, with the option of adding further tables in the future.

BetStars continues European expansion into France
Amaya has launched its BetStars sportsbook in France ahead of the second round of the Euro 2016 group stages in the country.
French regulator ARJEL originally awarded BetStars a betting licence earlier this month, but the operator faced some initial technical problems in getting the site up and running, an Amaya spokesperson told EGR.
Like the new Italian version of the sportsbook, BetStars.fr will initially only offer seven sports, with plans to expand the range in coming months.
LeoVegas unveils branded live casino product
LeoVegas has unveiled its first live casino product as the operator prepares to add industry-first products from NetEnt and Evolution Gaming later this summer.
The live dealer portfolio was launched ahead of the European Championships and includes roulette, blackjack and other card games, as well as exclusive live LeoVegas branded rooms.
The firm has adopted a multi-supplier strategy with Evolution Gaming, NetEnt and Extreme all providing streams to its portfolio available on desktop and mobile.
Dafabet seals Burnley FC shirt sponsorship deal
Asia-focused operator Dafabet has increased its brand presence in the Premier League after securing a two-year shirt sponsorship deal with recently-promoted Burnley FC.
The deal commences from the start of the 2016-17 season and will see the operator’s logo appear on both the home and away adult shirt.
Dafabet has also agreed to offer sponsorship space on all junior shirts to the club’s community department, adhering to strict betting rules.
William Hill books three fight sponsorship with Anthony Joshua
William Hill has signed a deal with Anthony Joshua’s promoter Matchroom Sport to be the title sponsors of the IBF heavyweight champion’s next three fights.
The deal extends a previous agreement which saw the UK bookmaker sponsor Joshua’s last two bouts against Dillian Whyte and Charles Martin.
‘AJ’ returns to the ring on Saturday to defend his heavyweight title against unbeaten American Dominic Breazeale, and the event will see the Hills brand in the ring, ring posts and ropes, backdrops and the event’s promotional material.
Sisal and Lottomatica plot DFS launch
Sisal and Lottomatica have agreed a partnership with Mondogoal to launch daily fantasy sports (DFS) products in the Italian egaming market.
Users will be able to play customised white-label versions of Mondogoal directly on the Sisal and Lottomatica sites, featuring weekly cash prizes for Euro 2016.
The B2B deal boosts Mondogoal’s presence in the Italian market after becoming the first operator to launch a DFS service in Italy earlier this year in partnership with Intralot.
Dafabet extends sponsorship of snooker’s Masters
Philippines-based bookmaker Dafabet has extended its sponsorship of snooker’s Masters tournament for another three years.
The operator has been title sponsor of the tournament since 2014 and the new deal will bring its involvement with the event to seven years in total.
The deal confirms the industry’s presence in snooker for the foreseeable future, after British bookie Betfred recently extended its sponsorship of snooker’s World Championship for a further two years. The UK Championship is also backed by Betway.
Portugal’s Solverde partners NYX for online gaming launch
Portuguese land-based casino operator Solverde is to expand its presence into the country’s online gambling space in partnership with supplier giant NYX Gaming Group.
The deal sees the two companies sign a memorandum of understanding, with Solverde set to integrate into NYX’s Open Platform System (OPS) as part of the agreement.
The Portuguese casino will also launch slots and scratchcard titles from NYX’s NextGen subsidiary and be one of the first operators to launch the supplier’s NYX BI business intelligence solution.
Bwin.party integrates Yggdrasil slots
Bwin.party has agreed a deal to integrate the entire suite of Yggdrasil slots onto its portfolio of customer-facing sites.
Yggdrasil previously had a supply agreement with GVC, which completed its acquisition of bwin.party in February, and the new agreement extends the original deal in terms of market coverage and duration.
Under the terms of the agreement, bwin will receive the entire suite of Yggdrasil slot games as well as the supplier’s collection of promotional tools, and the Infinite API for gamification.
Betsson unveils Euro 2016 social betting game
Betsson’s Betsafe brand has unveiled a new social betting game for Euro 2016 on mobile devices.
The native pool app, ‘Emperor’, is available on both iOS and Android and allows players to participate against each other by predicting events during a live football match.
Participants can also win cash prizes pre-allocated from a prize pool.
