Sky Betting & Gaming ranked in top 50 companies to work for in the UK
Leeds-based operator praised by current and former employees as it becomes only gambling company in Glassdoor rankings
Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) has been named as one of the top 50 companies to work for in the UK by Glassdoor. The Leeds-based operator finished in 29th place in the Best Places to Work 2022, positioning it ahead of the likes of O2 and Nando’s. SBG, which employs more than 1,400 people, was the only gambling firm to secure a place in the top 50 based on current and former employee reviews of each company. The Flutter Entertainment-owned outfit earned a 4.3 out of 5 stars in reviews from staff, putting it level with tech giant Apple. Cloud computing company ServiceNow was named as the top workplace with a score of 4.6. In October, SBG was named as the fourth-best company in the UK for work-life balance by Glassdoor. The 20-year-old business was praised for its flexible work patterns and wellness days, along with discounts and membership offers. Steve Birch, SBG CEO, said: “I’m pleased to share Sky Betting & Gaming has been awarded the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, honouring the Best Places to Work in 2022. “To receive the recognition means a lot and is down to the hard work of everyone at SBG. It takes a lot of energy and effort to create and keep an amazing environment to work in and I’m proud that we have managed it,” he added.
