Bet365 regains market share as Sisal tops Italian online betting rankings for January
Sisal rakes in €18.6m for the first month of 2021 as bet365 recovers to earn podium position
Sisal sealed top spot in the Italian online betting rankings for January after raking in monthly gross gaming revenue (GGR) of €18.6m. The retail giant fought off stiff competition from Playtech-owned Snaitech (€18m) and 2020 market leader bet365 (€17.7m), which climbed back into the top three after finishing sixth last month. December winner Goldbet finished fourth with GGR of €17.4m, while SKS365 (€15.6m) rounded off the top five.
Sisal enjoyed 13% market share as a percentage of GGR, while Snaitech, Goldbet and bet365 earned more than 12%. SKS365 and Eurobet were the only other operators to win January market share of more than 10%. Bet365 still triumphed in the online turnover rankings for January, raking in €206m on a margin of 8.6%, to beat closest rival Sisal (€127m) on a margin of 14.6%. Bet365 obtained 17.4% market share as a percentage of online turnover last month.
