GGPoker to take bets on final table line-ups at major comps

GGPoker has launched a new feature whereby customers will have the opportunity to bet on the outcome of the final table at major competitions. The feature, developed in tandem with poker betting operator PokerShares, has gone live initially with GGPoker’s weekly Super Million$ tournament. Customers bet by opening the Super Million$ tournament lobby and selecting the open table button before being taken through to the betting selection screen.

Super Million$ is GGPoker’s largest weekly poker tournament, with a buy-in at $10,300 (£7,720) and the guarantee set at $1.5m. As part of the activation of the feature launch, GGPoker has offered a 10% price boost for bettors who backed the winner of the Super Million$, which was won by Koray Aldemir, who was backed by 200 bettors. The feature launched on 30 November and as of that date, 500 bettors had placed more than $25,000 in bets. Despite the swathe of initial interest, EGR understands the product is still in alpha testing mode and is not yet being rolled out across the entire GGPoker network.
