Aspire Global recruits William Hill International COO
Former Betfair and Mr Green exec Antoine Bonello makes the short trip across Malta for new role starting in November
Aspire Global has hired William Hill International COO Antoine Bonello as its new chief operating officer and managing director for Malta. Bonello is an online gambling industry veteran, having worked at tier-one operators since 2008 when he joined Betfair as head of business improvement. Bonello spent eight years at Betfair before joining Paddy Power, where he switched between the UK and Malta as director of integration. He then joined Mr Green in 2017 as COO, before becoming William Hill International COO in 2019 following the £242m merger between the two companies. Bonello will join the senior management team at Aspire Global when he starts his new role on 1 November, reporting into CEO Tsachi Maimon. Maimon said of the appointment: “We are very happy to welcome Antoine Bonello to the Aspire Global family. “He has a proven and successful track-record of driving operational excellence and has a thorough knowledge of the igaming industry. “Antoine will play an important role in our continued focus on efficiency and operational excellence,” he added. Existing Aspire Global COO Dima Reiderman has decided to leave the company for personal reasons.
