Coingaming Group primed for Tallinn office upgrade

Coingaming Group is set to open a new state-of-the-art Tallinn-based office after two years of construction. The new complex will be spread across two buildings, totalling more than 3,700sqm and playing host to 300 Coingaming employees. The first building has been completely renovated to suit the operator’s needs and was previously the headquarters for the Estonia defence forces during the Estonian War of Independence.

The group’s developmental projects will be run from this site, while its day-to-day operations will be run in a brand-new adjacent office building built from scratch. The second building is equipped with a swathe of smart technology and disruptive infrastructure, including moveable separator walls that can be adjusted to suit spatial requirements. Some operations are already running from the new complex, with the office officially open from 7 September. Speaking to EGR, Coingaming COO Maarja Pärt said the new complex will act as “the heart” of the business. Pärt said: “This is an organic and natural step for us. This is an important part of the group’s expansion and it will complement our business ecosystem brilliantly. “The problem for us is we kept constantly running out of space. Obviously, we like to be in control of our full ecosystem, so building our own premises made complete logical sense. “We’ve been based online for a majority of the group’s history, so to build something that is tangible, and you can put your hand on, does feel different,” she added. Pärt went on to detail how the group had managed to navigate the financial perils of the Covid-19 pandemic and push through with the construction of the new complex. “We were fully prepared for Covid-19 and we did not have any implications as such. We acted very quickly. I think we were supported by the location as well because Estonia was quite relaxed and the number of cases was never as drastic as the rest of Europe,” she said. Finally, Pärt hinted that Coingaming’s Estonian expansion showed no signs of slowing down, with the group potentially “building something huge” in Tallinn Old Town in the near future.
