Former Betsson casino MD joins Gamesys Group as head of product ops
Joey Hurtado to start at the operator’s London office later this month
Betsson’s former managing director (MD) of casino brands Joey Hurtado is set to join the newly renamed Gamesys Group, EGR can reveal.
Hurtado will be the firm’s head of product operations and report into to new head of strategy Louis Burrows.
The former Betsson staffer will start in the Gamesys London office later this month with a focus is on delivering gaming revenue, improving the player experience and supporting the core business.

Hurtado left Betsson in July after more than two years with the operator, where he oversaw the group’s casino brands.
He joins Gamesys Group following the operator’s acquisition of Jackpotjoy Group, which closed at the end of September.
The combined group will have “well over 1,000 employees” according to CEO Lee Fenton.
