Bet-at-home reports record Q3 revenues on World Cup marketing investment
Operator focused on customer acquisition and reactivation to drive earnings
Germany-facing operator bet-at-home has reported an 18% year-on-year rise in Q3 revenues to €37.6m thanks to World Cup marketing investments in the previous quarter.
EBITDA amounted to €13m in Q3 after the operator invested €13.5m into World Cup marketing in Q2, up 45% on the previous year.
Q3 contributed €12.6m to the company’s profits during the quarter while bet-at-home management said the firm will reach its full-year revenue target of €150 for FY 2018.
However, GGR for the first three quarters of the 2018 FY was down 4.1% year-on-year and the volume of players during the period also dropped 3.7%.
Group CEO Franz Ömer said the operator’s focus following the World Cup was on increasing earnings strength through customer acquisition and reactivating existing customers.
“We would like to thank all those who have made the first three quarters of 2018 such a success for bet-at-home.com, especially our staff,” Ömer said.
“We would also like to express our gratitude to the shareholders for their trust in us.”
The operator paid €5.9m in VAT for the first three quarters of the year.
