NetEnt partners with Stoiximan for live casino sports betting widget
Blackjack and roulette players will be able to place in-game bets on certain World Cup matches
NetEnt has partnered with Greek operator Stoiximan to launch a sports betting widget that will enable live casino players to bet on World Cup matches within the game.
The widget utilises NetEnt Live’s unique “blue screen” streaming technology to integrate betting feeds into a player’s roulette or blackjack game.
Similar to NetEnt’s recent partnership with Mr Green on its Live Beyond Live product, the sports betting widget has been developed in conjunction with Stoiximan, but will be subsequently rolled out to other operators.
NetEnt CPO, Henrik Fagerlund, told EGR: “We are creating a platform through our technology that allows operators to make custom solutions.
“It’s very flexible so you can offer multiple markets, you can choose any sport and when not to offer them. All these variations and customisations can be done through this technology.”
Fagurlund said partnering operators would need to share pre-determined live data for the events it wanted to make available via the widget.
“As soon as a player clicks on it we make a call to the operator saying this player wishes to make a bet on a particular event, then the operator brings up the relevant bet slip and you follow the betting process,” he added.
NetEnt also launched a World Cup themed live roulette game last month offering players real time statistics and league tables.
