Jackpotjoy chief: We are on the hunt for more brands
Operator is in a good financial position for future acquisitions after reducing its net debt, executive chairman Neil Goulden says
Jackpotjoy is considering new acquisitions within its key markets of UK, Sweden and Spain, executive chairman for the group Neil Goulden has revealed.
Goulden, who took over the top job from Andy McIver last year, told EGR the firm would consider acquiring additional small brands in order to expand its product offering in these key markets.
The firm expects to make its final earn-out payment to Gamesys in June for the acquisition of Jackpotjoy and Botemania, and will enjoy more cash-flow with those payments off the books in H2.
Elsewhere, the firm will look to appoint a chief marketing officer in coming months to complete its senior executive team.
A major management reshuffle was initiated in October last year following the departure of group CEO Andy McIver and the appointment of CEOs for each of the key brands.
Goulden said the new team, which includes former Gala Leisure chief executive Simon Wykes, had been performing well and felt much more orderly.
The operator reported 14% revenue growth for 2017, powered by double-digit growth in both its Jackpotjoy and Vera&John brands.
