Ladbrokes veteran Roger Tull departs after 46-year career
Ladbrokes veteran Roger Tull has left the business after a 46-year shift at the Magic Sign, EGR Intel has learned.
Tull’s official last day is next Monday, although he has been on special leave for two weeks.
He told EGR Intel he was “ready for a break” with no immediate plans to find something new.
Tull joined the company straight from school aged 16 and went on to lead the sports betting department for a number of years.
BoyleSports promotes COO to chief exec role
BoyleSports has promoted its operations chief Conor Gray to the role of chief executive officer (CEO), taking over from the Irish bookmaker’s founder John Boyle.
Gray, chief operating officer (COO) at the bookie since 2014, has worked at BoyleSports for 16 years having originally joined as a trainee cashier at one of its Dublin branches in 2001.
He later moved to the BoyleSports Information and Media department at its headquarters in Dundalk, County Louth, before assuming a number of executive roles over a 10-year period.
Ladbrokes Coral CCO Kristof Fahy to depart
Ladbrokes Coral’s chief customer officer Kristof Fahy is to leave the operator to seek new opportunities, EGR Intel has learned.
Fahy will leave the firm in September and will not be directly replaced, with his staff re-allocated to other executives.
His departure follows the successful integration of the marketing functions of the two firms post-merger.
Wetten.com hires former EveryMatrix CFO
Germany-facing sportsbook Wetten.com has named former EveryMatrix financial chief Diane Dalli as its new group CFO.
In the newly-created position, she will be responsible for the company’s overall financial strategy and operations.
Dalli joins from EveryMatrix where she was CFO for two years after serving 21 months as Evolution Gaming’s group finance manager.
Colossus Bets expands into new London office
Sports pools operator Colossus Bets has moved into its new London-based headquarters on Gray’s Inn Road to accommodate the firm’s rapid expansion.
The office provides additional space for the operator’s 30-strong staff.
“It is an exciting time at Colossus and we now have a new, modern base at Gray’s Inn Road in Central London to house our next stage of expansion,” CEO Bernard Marantelli commented.
