Jackpot.com plots global expansion with new messenger licence
Operator planning entry into new markets where its core bet-on-lotteries product has yet to be recognised
Bet-on lotteries operator Jackpot.com has warned rivals: “You’ll be hearing a lot of us over the next three months,” with the firm planning several new product launches and entries into new markets.
The operator recently picked up a Malta lottery messenger licence which it said would give it the flexibility to enter new jurisdictions where its core bet-on-lotteries product had yet to be recognised.
“There are many different types of regulatory assignments and we want to be able to adapt to these as we enter new markets,” Jackpot.com CEO, Yariv Ron told EGR Intel.
“There are some territories where a messenger lottery is a good way into the market but I don’t want to give too much away the minute.”
Jackpot.com currently provides users the chance to bet on the outcome of 17 lotteries from around the world, including US Powerball and EuroMillions, and has betting licenses in the UK, Ireland and Malta.
“We only launched only in late 2016 and the business has grown strongly in that time,” Ron added.
“We’ve launched a campaign on Sky TV and we have big plans for the next three months with new territories, licences and products on the way. You’ll be hearing a lot of us over the next three months.”
