Hills veteran Richard Walsh joins Coingaming as MD
Walsh joins the bitcoin-focused operator after more than 20 years at William Hill
Bitcoin-focused operator Coingaming Group has appointed William Hill veteran Richard Walsh as the Estonia-based company’s new managing director.
Walsh, who will report directly into CEO Tim Heath, previously spent more than 20 years at the UK bookmaking giant, holding a number of senior roles including area operations manager.
His new position at the BitCasino.io owner will see him relocate to Tallinn, Estonia, where he will oversee operations for the entire group, including its soon-to-be-launched esports-focused brand.
Walsh said: “After more than two decades at William Hill, I could not resist a new challenge at one of gaming’s most exciting and innovative companies.
“The Coingaming group is growing rapidly and I will endeavour to ensure that this growth continues in a sustainable way.”
Walsh is the latest senior hire made by Coingaming in recent months following the recent appointments of Christopher Uren as director of sportsbook and Dominic Bourke as director of casino.
“We have grown as a company extremely quickly, so it is critically important that we put a world-class executive team in place to ensure this development can be sustained,” Coingaming CEO, Tim Heath, said.
“Richard is an industry veteran who has worked for one of the most successful brands in gaming. His experience will be vital in taking Coingaming to the next level.”
