Norbert Teufelberger invests in EveryMatrix and takes chairman role
Former bwin.party CEO one of three new board members to participate in supplier’s recent €4m investment round
EveryMatrix has hired Norbert Teufelberger as its new chairman after the supplier secured €4.3m in new funding from investors, including the former bwin.party CEO.
Teufelberger is one of three new board members at the supplier to participate in the recent capital increase, which was led by a number of private investors and Norwegian fund Strawberry Capital.
The new non-executive chairman will be joined on the board by Anders Böös, former chairman of IFS, and Jan Gottlander, co-founder of Snow Software.
“Being part of bwin’s story since its inception was a wonderful experience for me and I look forward to assist the founders and team of EveryMatrix in developing a blue chip B2B technology provider for the fast expanding global igaming market,” Teufelberger said.
William Hill hires Worldpay’s Ruth Prior as CFO
William Hill has appointed Worldpay’s chief operating officer (COO), Ruth Prior, as its new chief financial officer (CFO), the bookmaker announced this morning.
Prior will take over from interim CFO Mark Summerfield, currently on a secondment from KPMG, as permanent CFO later this year on an annual base salary of £425,000.
She joins the operator after nearly four years at Worldpay, where she was originally appointed deputy chief financial officer before taking up her current COO role in December 2016.
“Ruth is a strong addition to the William Hill board and executive team,” William Hill CEO, Philip Bowcock, said.

Wetten.com hires Betsson’s former head of sportsbook
German operator Wetten.com has hired Betsson’s former head of sportsbook Jeff Tabone to lead its own sportsbook operations.
Tabone will join Wetten’s Malta office on 8 June after 10 years at Betsson Group, the last two as head of sportsbook.
His new role as sportsbook director will see him responsible for Wetten.com’s overall sports betting product strategy.
“Jeff’s extensive and collective grasp of both, the sportsbook product and customer, will have a profound impact on Wetten.com,” said the firm’s Daniel Bradtke.
Caesars promotes Christian Stuart to interactive chief
Caesars Entertainment has named Christian Stuart as its new executive vice president of gaming and interactive entertainment.
Stuart, who has been with Caesars for 12 years, will be responsible for the development of innovative gaming products, with a “special emphasis” on mobile connectivity and apps.
“As technology continues to evolve, our gaming and entertainment offerings must also grow to meet the needs and expectations of our customers,” said Caesars Entertainment president and CEO, Mark Frissora.
“While we have excelled at creating some of the most popular gaming and entertainment experiences in the world, Christian’s appointment underscores our company-wide commitment to continually advance these efforts.
