Åland operator makes move to offer DFS for the first time in partnership with Scout Gaming Group
State-owned Paf is set to offer daily fantasy sports (DFS) for the first time after striking a deal with software provider Scout Gaming Group.
The Åland-based operator will integrate the supplier’s new DFS platform, becoming the latest egaming firm to offer the vertical to its customer base.
“In Scout Gaming Group we feel we have found a good and flexible partner to take us into the DFS area,” Paf’s director of games, Kim Johansson, said.
“We strongly believe that DFS will see significant growth in the years to come and we are happy to be ahead of our competitors and offer this product to our betting and sports interested customers.”
Playtech ties-up Betfred.com and Featurespace deals
Playtech has extended its long-running deal with Betfred.com and penned a new partnership with fraud prevention and risk management specialist Featurespace.
Using the final day of ICE to make the announcements, Playtech said the multi-year extension would see the firm provide content to Betfred.com well into the next decade, having already been servicing the bookie for more than 10 years.
The deal gives Betfred.com access to Playtech’s exclusive licensee £500,000 cash casino network promotion on new iconic DC Entertainment-branded film and television properties, which launches at the end of February and runs for four weeks.

Software provider Bit8 has launched a new networked lottery product that creates a millionaire every hour of every day.
Lotto Hero will be hosted on multiple operator sites, generating enough liquidity to hold a million-Euro draw 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Bit8 CEO Angelo Dalli said the new product was a “genuine game-changer” in the industry.

Betway seals “seven-figure” Grand National Festival sponsorship
Betway has signed a three-year deal with Aintree Racecourse to become the official betting partner of the Grand National Festival.
The deal, worth seven figures according to the operator, will start with this year’s meeting from 6-8 April.
Under the agreement, five races will take the Betway name, including the Grade 1 Betway Aintree Hurdle – the feature race on opening day.
Kindred makes instant win play with Gamevy deal
Kindred Group has struck a deal with Gamevy to integrate the supplier’s range of instant win and scratchcard games.
The Stockholm-listed operator and its flagship brand Unibet will now have access to Gamevy titles such as Diamond Deal, Boss the Lotto and Epic Gems as a result of the agreement.
“We were early fans of what Gamevy were trying to do,” said Fredrik Kjell, head of gaming for Kindred.
NetEnt signs Planet of the Apes licensing deal
NetEnt has sealed a deal to use 20th Century Fox’s iconic Planet of the Apes brand for a new slots game as the firm continues to put its faith in big-name licensing deals.
Using the first day of ICE to make the announcement, NetEnt CEO Per Eriksson said the slot, which will be based on the famous film franchise, would be released in the second half of 2017 and readied the gathered crowd for another major announcement on day two.
Speaking to EGR Intel shortly after the presentation, Eriksson said NetEnt’s branded game strategy would continue for years to come, with previously released slots such as Guns N’ Roses and South Park having proven themselves to be a successful customer acquisition tool.

SBTech signs sportsbook deals with two casino-focused partners
SBTech has signed two new deals to supply its full sportsbook service to casino-focused companies, Evoke Gaming and Aspire Global.
The Evoke deal will see SBTech power the Malta-based company’s Redbet sportsbook with its Chameleon360 platform.
Hampus Eriksson, chief of product at Evoke Gaming, said: “With a state-of-the-art Redbet desktop and mobile site recently launched, we are now adding a world class sports product which will provide our current and future customers with a superior sports experience”.
EveryMatrix to power K8’s UK-facing business
EveryMatrix has signed a deal with K8 to power the operator’s UK-facing sportsbook and casino brands, it was announced last week.
The deal will see the supplier provide K8 its fully managed sportsbook and casino solution, as well as its payments platform and affiliate capabilities.
“K8 Gaming’s connection to football and racing makes them well-acquainted with the British sports arena and we are thrilled to expand our presence in the UK market with yet another major sign,” Ebbe Groes, EveryMatrix CEO, said.
