A round-up of the latest launches and sign-ups in egaming including Bodog's LatinAm expansion
Bodog has announced plans to launch an online poker product into Latin America, with a focus on recreational players.
The firm recently sold its network to a Honk Kong-based consortium, PayWaingLuo, but said it was relaunching in LatAm using the same software.
Bodog’s extension into the Latin America will see the brand also offer sports betting and casino.
Ed Pownall, spokesman for the Bodog brand, said: “The LatAm region has long been seen as a growth area for the online gaming industry but we felt leading with poker was the best point of entry as we have made such a strong name for ourselves in this arena.”
Slots developer, Ganapati, has reached an agreement to launch a game around the hit Japanese single Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen, which has 110 million views on YouTube.
Ganapati, which develops slots based around Japanese culture, has a deal in place with Sony and AVEX to launch the game later this year.
Richard Hogg, director at Ganapati, said: “Japanese culture is taking the world by storm right now, and we are excited to be able to share it with European consumers via our slots games.
“The country’s entertainment industry is the most innovative and exciting in the world, evidenced by the success of Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen, Pikotaro, and Daimaou Kosaka.
“With the deal now in place, our team of designers and developers are already hard at work on the look and feel of the game, and we can’t wait to bring it to market later this year.”
Online casino developer Nolimit city has entered the Asian market for the first time via a deal to provide its slots to content distributor QTech Games.
The deal will see QTech’s partners gain access to Nolimit games like Oktoberfest, Space Arcade, and Creepy Carnival, with a raft of additional titles set for release over the course of the year.
