BoyleSports extends RTÉ Sport horseracing sponsorship
Bookmaker signs deal to back Irish broadcaster’s racing coverage, with its branding to feature across all media platforms
BoyleSports has extended its partnership with RTÉ Sport to sponsor the Irish broadcaster’s horseracing coverage in 2017 across all media platforms.
The one-year deal will see the bookmaker feature in all RTÉ racing coverage on television, radio and online, as well as appear on RTÉ’s In-Vision split-screen television advertisements.
The two parties added it will also develop “innovative integrations” between live television and mobile apps.
The deal marks the operator’s continued investment in Irish horseracing, having begun its association with the Irish broadcaster back in 2014.
“We are very committed to Irish sport and this partnership with RTÉ cements BoyleSports’ position as the biggest supporter of Irish racing,” John Boyle, chief executive of BoyleSports, said.
RTÉ broadcasts 24 days of live Irish racing coverage on television each year, featuring the racing days from all major festivals, including the Irish Grand National sponsored by BoyleSports.
Geraldine O’Leary, commercial director at RTÉ television, added: “This continued partnership is a great endorsement of RTÉ Sport’s output and their powerful audience reach.
“Irish racing remains on terrestrial free-to-air television and BoyleSports has secured a powerful association with Irish Racing across all of RTÉ’s market-leading platforms.”
