William Hill bags Tottenham Hotspur betting partnership
Two-year deal will see operator's branding appear at White Hart Lane and across club's digital channels
William Hill has signed a two-year deal with its local club Tottenham Hotspur to become the Premier League side’s new official European and Australian betting partner.
The deal will see the Haringey-based bookmaker’s branding appear on pitch-side advertising boards and the club’s digital channels, with the firm operating all in-stadium betting services on matchdays.
William Hill replaces Marathonbet, which was the club’s betting partner for the previous two seasons.
The partnership will also see the bookmaker invest in a community project delivered by the Club’s charitable body, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
Alex O’Shaughnessy (pictured left), chief marketing officer for William Hill, said the firm was “delighted” to be partnering with the club.
“The Club’s profile will help to support our brand and business objectives and its location in Haringey gives us a unique opportunity to further demonstrate our commitment to the local area,” said O’Shaughnessy.
Fran Jones, head of partnerships for Tottenham Hotspur, said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with William Hill, one of the most established and recognised brands in its sector.
“As another Haringey-based business, we are both committed to this area of north London and look forward to progressing our work through a joint community project run by our award-winning Foundation.”
It is the second betting partnership deal the bookmaker has signed this week, having already agreed a two-year deal to become Everton’s official European betting partner.
