32Red secures Haydock Sprint Cup sponsorship
The Authorised Betting Partner replaces non-member Betfred in three-year partnership
32Red has replaced Betfred as sponsor of the Sprint Cup Day at Haydock Park Racecourse as part of a new three-year deal, it was announced today.
The operator is a founding Authorised Betting Partner of British Racing and will sponsor the full card on Sprint Cup Day on 3 September 2016, as well as the three-day Sprint Cup Festival in 2017 and 2018.
In addition to the Sprint Cup, 32Red’s 2016 sponsorship will also include the Group 3, £63,000 32Red Superior Mile and the 32Red Old Borough Cup for the stayers.
32Red replaces Betfred which is not a member of the Authorised Betting Scheme, and therefore cannot sponsor races owned by Jockey Club Racecourses.
“We are delighted to be sponsoring the 32Red Sprint Cup at Haydock for the next three years, at least, and this further underlines our strategy to grow our profile and market share in British Racing,” Ed Ware, CEO of 32Red, said.
“This is a very prestigious Group 1 race, with a superb history and roll-call of past winners it is often a stallion-maker too, and we are proud to be associated with the event,” Ware added.
Jason Fildes, Haydock Park general manager, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome 32Red as the new sponsor of Sprint Cup Day in its 50th year.
“I’d like to thank outgoing sponsor Betfred for their generous support but warmly welcome a new and exciting partnership with 32Red – we look forward to continued success of the biggest and most prestigious raceday of Haydock’s Flat Season with the backing of an esteemed new partner.”
