Danske Spil has integrated a new five-reel slot produced exclusively for the operator by GVC Holdings.
The new slot is based on Denmark’s pop act Aqua, most remembered for its 1997 smash hit Barbie Girl, and gives players the chance to win a progressive jackpot that currently stands at 130k.
Aqua is the latest in a series of casino games that GVC has built exclusively for the operator based on popular Danish themes. Previous titles were themed around rock bands DAD and Shu-bi-dua, as well as on Danish cinema hits, Olsen Banden and Klovn.

Paddy Power Betfair has been named as the Daily Mirror‘s lead Saturday horseracing sponsor for the 2016 season.
The operator will back the Mirror‘s weekly racing pullout partner both in print and online during the entire 50-week season.
The digital aspect of the campaign will run across the Mirror‘s racing channels, and using Trinity Mirror Solutions’ Pinpoint geo-targeting service, fans will also be reached with location-specific content on mobile when using the Mirror app.

Betfred has struck a deal with Matchroom Boxing to sponsor the world lightweight unification fight between Anthony Crolla and Jorge Linares in Manchester next month.
The bookmaker will be headline sponsor for the fight which takes place at the Manchester Arena on 24 September live on Sky Sports.
“We are delighted to be sponsoring such a high profile night of boxing including what looks to be a cracking unification between two of the most exciting boxers around,” Betfred chief executive, John Haddock, said.
Online sportsbook operator Tempobet has taken its sports sponsorship strategy into Euroleague Basketball after agreeing a six-figure courtside advertising deal for the upcoming season.
Along with its casino site Tempocasino.com, the operator’s branding will be displayed in-game on TV feeds broadcasting the home games of German side Brose Bamberg.
“Basketball is a hugely popular sport with both our existing customers and among potential ones, and the opportunity to be the only sportsbook on the billboards in Germany was too good to miss,” Tempobet managing director, Mark Clayton, said.

SIS has taken its stream platform to Sri Lanka for the first time after striking a deal with operator Sporting Times.
The deal will see customisable high definition content shown in shops through SIS’ low latency IPTV streaming network.
In addition to SIS’ own IPTV channels, the SIS Stream platform allows Sporting Times to distribute third party content to its retail estate.
Software and solutions provider Tain has obtained a Class 2 licence from the Romanian National Gambling Office (ONJN).
The new licence marks the company’s first move into Eastern Europe, with online gaming operators in Romania’s newly regulated market now able to receive the Tain platform.

Pragmatic Play has entered into a new partnership with Mansion Group’s Opus Gaming that will see the casino supplier’s content distributed to the Asian market.
