PokerStars senior VP Dominic Mansour resigns
SVP for Southern Europe quits firm after helping co-ordinate Amaya's recent organisational restructure
PokerStars senior vice-president for Southern Europe, Dominic Mansour, has resigned and left the company, eGaming Review has learned.
Mansour, who was previously MD of Full Tilt Poker, was appointed to the SVP role when Full Tilt was migrated onto the PokerStars platform back in May.
However, Mansour left the firm last month and is currently serving out a period of gardening leave, although he is understood to be exploring new opportunities within the online gaming sector.
Amaya’s vice president of corporate communications, Eric Hollreiser, told EGR Mansour would not be directly replaced.
Hollreiser added: “Dominic chose to leave to seek a suitable position elsewhere. We thank him for his contributions to the company and wish him all the best for the future.”
Mansour had been CEO of the Health Lottery prior to his two-and-a-half year stint with PokerStars and Full Tilt parent company Amaya.
Amaya has been cutting jobs and restructuring offices in London, Sydney, and Dublin â where Mansour was based with Full Tilt â in an effort to “reduce costs and increase efficiency and focus”.
Amaya said savings from this “operational excellence strategy” will be reinvested in product and marketing with the aim to “improve R&D and competitiveness and grow top line revenue in future years”.
The company added that the staff would be re-assigned where possible during the restructuring and it would not result in “a significant net reduction in headcount”.
The firm cut “dozens” of jobs in its London office back in July.
