NEW STANDALONE BINGO network Moon Bingo is to launch an eight-week UK TV advertising campaign this month on channels including ITV1 and Channel 5 as part of a UK planned expansion.
The space-themed 30-second and 10-second ads will appear on the two terrestrial channels from 25 January, as well as on ITV2 and ITV Scotland, and employ the slogan “Moon Bingo – One Small Step for Man, One Giant Leap for Bingo”.
Moon Bingo, which re-launched as a standalone bingo network in November, is powered by 888 business-to-business division Dragonfish, and is part of Netboost Media, the company behind other brands on the Dragonfish bingo network Glorious and Spectra Bingo.
NetBoost Media chief executive Adi Frum said: “In just ten weeks Moon Bingo’s following has exceeded its initial forecast. The site has grown by 940% in the number of daily unique visits [and] the TV campaign is Moon Bingo’s next strategic step in the successful penetration of the brand in the UK.”
Moon Bingo is Gibraltar-licensed through Cassava Enterprises, 888 Holdings’ operations entity.
In other Dragonfish bingo news revealed on EGRmagazine.com recently, Dragonfish-owner 888 acquired Wink Bingo, which runs bingo networks on the Dragonfish platform including Posh Bingo, in a deal last month valuing it at up to £60m; while relative newcomer Costa Bingo overtook Foxy Bingo and Wink Bingo to rival Cheeky Bingo as the busiest site on the network.
