BETBOO has signed a deal with digital sports specialist Perform to provide the Latin American operator with over 1,500 sports events each year through its live sports internet TV service, WatchAndBetTV.
Betboo, which was acquired by Gaming VC in July 2009, is the first South America-focused bookmaker to take up the white-label WatchAndBet.TV service, which is used by operators including Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, Unibet and Sportingbet.
The deal will enable the Curacao-based operator to offer its customers multiple live streams from a range of international sports including international football, European club football and ATP and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Tennis.
Betboo chief executive Almir Ribeiro said: “Our customers love live sport and to have so much live content on our website provides the duel benefits of providing fresh compelling content whilst driving revenues through in-play betting, which is a huge growth area for us.”
WatchAndBetTV managing director Ross MacEacharn at Perform said: “Broadband penetration in Latin America is growing exponentially and it is important for bookmakers to evolve and improve their product to keep up with their consumers’ demands and drive new revenue streams.”
Other Perform customers include Bet365, which bought the rights to the Ukraine-England World Cup qualifier on 10 October 2009, the first England football match that’s rights were sold exclusively for internet broadcast after Perform held talks with the UK publishing companies, internet service providers and egaming operators regarding sale of the rights.
