188BET has signed a deal with sports betting TV service The Betting Channel to sponsor segments of the channel’s output, the second sponsorship deal for The Betting Channel this month.
The arrangement with 188Bet, which follows Boylesports’ deal with The Betting Channel on 4 March, is the latest move to boost the Asian bookie’s UK profile after betting partner deals in 2009 with football clubs Liverpool, London’s Chelsea, Aston Villa and a double shirt sponsorship deal with Bolton Wanderers and Wigan as well as rugby clubs London Wasps and Wigan Warriors.
As part of the deal, 188Bet will contribute odds for sports events and speciality markets to The Betting Channel, which streams on TheBettingChannel.tv London Wasps and Wigan Warriors every Friday, while the bookmaker’s logo will also appear on studio backdrops and graphics.
188Bet ‘betting expert’ Rob Hartnett, will join host Alan Bentley and other guests to preview betting on a range of sports and entertainment events. The first of the shows will stream live tomorrow and look ahead to the weekend’s sport and the US Masters golf.
Betting Channel founder and presenter Alan Bentley said: “In being able to tailor our output and offering our partners editorial input, we believe that we offer a prime platform for bookmakers to communicate with a large audience of bettors and sports enthusiasts in an entertaining and interactive way. We’re confident both parties will benefit greatly from this deal.”
