William Hill signs shirt sponsorship deal with Malaga CF
William Hill has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Spain's Malaga football club, the nearest team to the British community on the Costa del Sol and to the bookmaker's Gibraltar head office.
WILLIAM HILL HAS signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Malaga football club.
The three year deal will see the WilliamHill.com brand displayed on the front the Malaga CF shirts, and a major brand presence at Malaga ground La Rosaleda.
A company statement said that “the agreement strengthens Malaga CF’s relationship with the British community on the Costa del Sol, whilst Williamhill.com associates itself with a La Liga Club”.
Malaga CF start its La Liga season with a home match against AtlÄtico Madrid on Sunday.
William Hill Online chief executive Henry Birch, pictured centre right with Malaga CF president Fernando Sanz and models, said: “Malaga is the closest La Liga club to our business base in Gibrlatar and we really wanted to be involved with a club that we could support both from a business perspective and in person.
“As well as the huge Spanish fan base on the coast, we know that Malaga also has a huge ex-patriot following in this part of the country, a legion of supporters who already know the William Hill name, and we hope that this sponsorship will bring the brand to the fore with the legions of football fans from all the clubs across Spain.”
Other football sponsorship deals by egaming brands this month include official betting partner ties between Sportingbet and Portsmouth football club, British betting exchange Betfair and Manchester United, and Asian sportsbook 188Bet’s deal with Chelsea FC.
Arsenal football club also signed a deal with Bettorlogic to feature its Player Pro tool on the Arsenal FC homepage, following bookmaker Coral’s deal with FSB Technology to launch a similar analytical tool.
