PRESS ASSOCIATION Sport and Racing UK (RUK) has launched an interactive racecard that allows users to manipulate horse racing form to predict race outcomes.
The iCard, which will also be available as a white label product to betting websites, enables users to toggle four different form elements – win, place, going and jockey/trainer “ with final outcomes affected accordingly.
Predictions are based upon PA Sport-supplied data from more than 9,000 races. The iCard also streams live and race replay footage from RUK, the website owned by Turf TV joint owner Racecourse Media Group, the umbrella organisation for 30 of the UK’s leading racecourses.
Racing UK head of online Simon Brydon said: “The aim is for the iCard to become racing’s ultimate information, form and betting guide. There can’t be a more comprehensive race card out there.”
As reported on EGRmagazine.com, Turf TV parent Amalgamated Racing (Amrac), the joint venture company owned by Racecourse Media Group and racing technology business Alphameric, won a legal victory in England’s Appeal Court in July against bookmakers including Ladbrokes and William Hill who claimed that it had acquired certain media rights in contravention of UK competition law and the EC Treaty.
