888’s business-to-business division Dragonfish has signed an exclusive agreement to provide one of South Africa’s largest hotel and entertainment groups Tsogo Sun Gaming Group (TSG) with its online betting and gaming products.

Managing director Gabi Campos emphasised the regulated nature of South Africa’s market in the TSG deal. “This partnership is the first of many targeted at regulated markets, where Dragonfish’s partners operate under local licenses and enjoy the benefits of such regulatory arrangement.” The two companies will set up a joint venture in South Africa to initially to launch a licensed offering in the regulated sportsbook arena. The partnership will continue with the launch of an online casino, poker and bingo offering once a more developed regulatory regime is in place in South Africa.
