IGT annual revenues approach $2bn mark
Entraction acquisition boosts interactive numbers for fourth quarter.
International Game Technology (IGT), the owner of the Entraction poker network, has seen its group revenues for the year rise 2% to US$1.96bn.
The £70m purchase of the Swedish-based network earlier this year contributed to US$283m in revenues from gaming operations in the three months ended 30 September, an increase of 8.5% on the corresponding period in 2010.
Gross profit from gaming operations rose by 6% year-on-year in Q4 to $160m, with a statement from the group explaining that this rise was “Primarily from International lease operations and interactive.” The company does not split out land-based and online revenues.
In September Entraction moved to ban players from Canada, Israel, Norway, Russia and Turkey as IGT looked to distance its offering from grey or black markets, and Victor Chandler recently became the first network site to set up an alternative poker offering for players in those countries.
