Betfred signs Callcredit deal
Gibraltar-licensed operator to use CallValidate verification software.
Betfred has agreed a deal with consumer information company Callcredit to use its CallValidate verification software.
The software will be used to verify identity and payments details of Betfred’s new and existing online customers, helping the company prevent payment fraud.
It follows a similar deal between Callcredit and OpenBet, signed in September, and the speed of CallValidate’s verification service – three seconds or less according to Callcredit head of sales James Blake – is expected to save the Gibraltar-licensed operator time it would have spent manually verifying transactions.
Betfred’s head of fraud prevention, risk and payments Dennis Luckett said: “Callcredit have given us the one missing ingredient from our customer checking solutions “ online credit and debit card verification. Merging this into our existing checks gives us a fully balanced check on all our UK customers.
