Gala Coral in Daily Mirror partnership
Operator will offer readers promotions including free bets for the duration of Euro 2012 football tournament.
Gala Coral has agreed a £500,000 deal with newspapers the Daily and Sunday Mirror to provide their readers with free bets and other exclusive deals over the course of this summer’s Euro 2012 football championships.
It is among the first partnerships announced by the operator since it appointed advertising agency The7Stars to take charge of its media buying in December last year.
According to MediaWeek the partnership will launch on 8 June, the same day on which the tournament begins in Warsaw with the match between Poland and Greece.
Gala Coral retail marketing director Olly Raeburn said the deal “[Is] focused on one of the most talked about sporting events of the year and will put us directly in front of eyeballs within our key target audiences.”
Meanwhile Gala Coral’s online poker offering has rebranded and moved to Playtech’s iPoker network.
Gala Casino Poker, previously known as Coral Poker, previously sat on the Ongame network, and the move follows last July’s landmark 10-year deal with Playtech.
Earlier this week Gala Coral reached a conditional agreement with Rank Group for the Grosvenor Casino operator to purchase 23 of its land-based UK casinos for a sum of £205m.
