Cozy to develop X Factor mobile slot via FremantleMedia deal
Slots apps based on TV shows such as The X Factor and The Price is Right will be released for smartphone and tablet devices.
Mobile gaming specialist Cozy Games has been selected by FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) to launch a series of mobile and tablet apps themed around popular TV shows such as The X Factor.
Described as an conversion of FME’s existing slot titles – which include The X Factor: Steps To Stardom, Family Fortunes and The Price is Right – the suite of apps will be developed for Apple and Android smartphones as well as the iPad.
FME head of Gambling EMEA Simon Murphy (pictured) has called the deal “The first in a long line of new initiatives and game launches,” and he adds that it “Will further cement us as a leading distributor of branded content.”
It follows Cozy’s mobile-focused partnership with Rank Interactive, through which it will supply the operator with its Cozy Connect platform. Rank Interactive itself became the official UK X Factor gaming partner after signing an agreement with FME last December.
Cozy Games chief operating officer Tim Green said: “This latest partnership proves that we are the mobile developer of choice and we welcome the opportunity to work with Simon and the team, and add the FME content to our growing library of third party content, as we strive to become the game content aggregator of choice.”
