WMS in Betsson and Unibet deals
Swedish operators to launch Williams Interactive's games in early 2013.
WMS’ egaming subsidiary Williams Interactive has signed multi-year licensing agreements with Swedish operators Betsson and Unibet Group.
The deal allows Betsson and Unibet access to WMS’ games offered by Jadestone, following May’s acquisition of the Swedish games developer. The portfolio also includes games offered by WMS’ UK-facing site Jackpot Party which went live last year.
The first titles are set to launch on Unibet and Betsson’s online casinos early in 2013 and the agreements also allow for the products to be made available through the Swedish operators’ mobile platforms.
Williams Interactive president and CEO Orrin J Edidin said of the deals: “Following the acquisition, we moved rapidly to expand Jadestone’s product portfolio with WMS’ library of proven, great slot games and enable access to our library for distribution across multiple interactive channels for those players who enjoy their gaming entertainment online. We are delighted to expand our relationship with Betsson and Unibet; each of whom is among the world’s leading online casino operators with extensive customer bases through their various casino brands.
“This expanded relationship represents a meaningful expansion in the B2B growth of our interactive products and services. Importantly, together, we have the potential to deliver a significant increase in the slot experience that will soon be offered to their players,” he added.
Jadestone signed a two-and-a-half-year casino deal with Betsson in March this year, and also has B2B agreements in place with Unibet, Betfair and bwin.party.
WMS’ online division Williams Interactive was formed in July, while last month the online and land-based slots provider obtained its online poker licence in Nevada and launched its second social casino, a Jackpot Party-branded offering, on Facebook.
